ISLAMABAD, Oct 18 (APP): Chairperson Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) Ms Farzana Raja Saturday said she was currently engaged in compiling a book on the martyrs of Karsaz (Karachi) aiming to pay tributes to their great sacrifice for the cause of democracy.
Talking to PTV News, she said Ms Benazir Bhutto on Oct 20 2007 two days after the tragedy assigned her the task directing that all the personal details of the martyred should be compiled and included in the book.
Currently all relevant details of the martyrs including their name, occupation, details about their family members, residence, etc are being collected.The book would be published soon and placed in all the important libraries of the country, she added.
Pakistan People’s Party was also looking after the families of the Karsaz Karachi martyrs, she said.
Responding to a question she said three-pronged strategy dialogue, development and deterrence has been devised to counter the threat of terrorism.
